Why we need a Goddess of Love

Although many people read positive thinking books, most have problems making it work for them.  One of the reasons is because they have doubts that thinking positive thoughts would give them what they want.  So, negative feelings of doubt will slow down any positive momentum that they are trying to create.

When people with a religious background have similar doubts its because they don’t believe god will give them what they want and desire.  Some may have used prayer, and haven’t got any results doing this and so don’t have any faith in any sort of mind power.

One way to overcome this barrier is to change the way we see God.  The problem about our image of god, is that religions have given him or her a bad name.  Priests discovered long ago that if they portray god as judgmental and punitive, they could frighten the people into obedience.  While also gaining wealth and power for themselves.

An example of this is the concept of absolution.  The idea was that if the priest didn’t absolve you from your sins before you passed away, you would go to hell.  The priests expected to be paid to do this and were able to extort large sums of money from dying people by frightening them.

This was a very profitable racket for the priests but in doing so they portrayed god as being unreasonable, cruel and vindictive.  Priests also defame god’s character in other ways.  When there was plague and famine the priests told the people it was a punishment from god because the people were ‘sinful’.  So the priest used natural disasters to frighten the people into obeying the Church.

This works very well for the priests but not for the people exploited by them.  We all have the gift of freewill but if we are deceived by priests to believe god is angry with us and wants to punish us, then we are tricked into using our freewill against our best interests.  As these very negative ideas have created for people, a very negative reality of pain and suffering.

In the past people learned to fear god to the degree that people in the past called themselves, “god-fearing people”.   And in those times people lived in dire poverty because they had such a negative world-view.  Nowadays most people have a more enlightened view of god, but the fear of god remains.

The tragedy of this, is that this is not how Jesus portrayed god in the New Testament as he talked about a loving Father God.  But the later Christians priests realized you couldn't extort very much money out of people if they said god was a loving and caring deity.  So they preferred to portray god like what is written in the Old Testament.

So we have a choice of seeing god as a judgmental and punitive god as like portrayed in the Old Testament or as a loving Father God as portrayed as Jesus.  This makes a difference because if we think god will judge and punish us, we are very unlikely to want to reach out to him, for help.  But we might do so if we see him as a loving Father God.

This is certainly how Jesus wanted us to see god, but male priests saw this as a bad business model for making money.  This is why the concept of a caring deity has to be promoted by caring people, like a priesthood of maternal women.  It is caring women who are more likely to promote the concept of a loving and caring deity than male priests.

We are far more likely to see a goddess as a loving deity than a god.  Goddesses like Aphrodite, Venus, Astarte and Eos were all Goddesses of love, a god of love wouldn't be seen as appropriate.  So a maternal MotherGod served by a female priesthood is the best way to restore the name of God so She can once again become the loving and caring deity She truly is.

At the dawn of history there were many myths about a Golden Age in the past where people lived in peace, harmony and had everything they wanted or desired.  To quote from Ancient Greek myths.-

"The first age was an age of innocence and happiness.  Truth and right prevailed, though not enforced by law, nor was there any magistrate to threaten or punish.  The forest had not yet been robbed of its trees to furnish timbers for vessels, nor had men built fortifications around their towns.  There were no such thing as swords, spears, or helmets.  The earth brought forth all things necessary for man, without his labour in ploughing or sowing.  Perpetual spring reigned, flower sprang up without seed, the rivers flowed with milk and wine, and yellow honey distilled from the oaks."

There were similar myths all over the world in places like South America and China.  One of these myths is the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve lived a life of harmony before it went wrong.  This is an old story that pre-dates Judaism and come from ancient Babylon.

The interesting thing about this, is that archaeologist have discovered ancient Neolithic towns and cities that support these Golden Age stories.  The archaeologists Marija Gimbutas has written a number of books about this.  She points out that in the excavations of Neolithic towns and cities archaeologists could find very little evidence of conflict, war and violence.  While at the same time there were no big houses for the rulers or rich people as all the houses were the same.  Suggesting, that people then lived in a very equal society.

At that time the people worshiped the Great Mother whom gave birth to the world.  Then, at the beginning of the Bronze Age all this suddenly change when people began to worship gods and then archaeologist discovered evidence of extreme violence and the start of hierarchal societies in the Bronze Age layers. Where, defensive walls were built around towns and cities and images of extreme brutality were found.  Large palaces and temples were also built with a minority living in large houses and the rest of the people living in poverty.

So why would society live in peace, harmony and equality when they worshipped the Great Mother but we had conflict and violence when people began to worship male gods?  The reason is that when we worship God in the form of a Mother we easy imagine Her giving us all unconditional love and everything we desire.

If we accept ideas like, “we create our own reality”.  Then believing in a supreme and powerful deity that loves us all unconditionally means we all have a very positive altitude about the world we live in.  This then makes it easy for us to create a positive reality for ourselves without trying.  People then wouldn’t have to learn about positive thinking, because just being taught about the Great Mother who loves them all unconditionally was enough.

Then people decided to have sexual equality and worship male gods as well. Unfortunately, male gods as we have seen throughout the patriarchal age, create negative thinking.  This is because men are more conditional in their love as well as being more aggressive and assertive.  So people began to introduce negativity in their lives when they worshiped male gods.

Other problems where that people no longer had faith in a male’s god unconditional love.  The concept of a male god’s conditional love created negativity which would be made worse when male priests exploited this.  By telling worshipers that god was angry because they didn't do what the priests wanted.

So when the prayers to these male gods no longer worked, because of negativity surrounding these gods, their priests make excuses and blamed others including the Goddess worshipers.

So the blame-game would create even more negative thoughts and feelings, and also hate and violence as the male priests encouraged their followers to not only blame, the Goddess worshipers but hate them as well.  This is because they were competitive and saw the Goddess worshipers as the opposition.  So the negative thoughts and ideas coming from the god worshipers would also create negative feelings in the Goddess worshipers when they encountered god worshipers.

Unfortunately, people then wouldn't have any concept of positive and negative thought.  All they knew was that everything had suddenly gone wrong and no-one was sure why.  The male priests would be sure whom to blame for what was going wrong, and that would be everyone except themselves.  While the holy women, would be confused and uncertain because they never encountered a situation like this before.

So the male priests saw this as an opportunity in which to exploit and used aggression, violence, deception and propaganda to get what they want.  Yet in spite of this Goddess religions continued for thousands of years.  The reason was that the people who stayed with original religion of the Great Mother, were still able to created a positive reality for themselves that the priests could not touch.

This then makes sense of some of teaching of Jesus when he said, “the meek shall inherit the Earth.”  Which so many people cannot understand and make the joke, “if that’s all right by everyone else.”

This teaching by Jesus doesn't make sense in our patriarchal world but does make sense if think about the limitless power of the Ancient Great Mother.

What we have to understand with positive thinking is that love and compassion are far higher vibrations than aggression, hatred, fear and violence.  So in spiritual terms the unconditional love mothers have for children, animals and men, is a far more positive than the aggressive and competitive nature of men.

This is why that before men can use aggression and violence on women, he has to first drag down her from her higher loving vibration.  Abusive men do this all the time.  They start off being charming and entertaining.  Then the woman is subjected to put-down jokes that slowly turn into verbal abuse that undermines a woman’s confidence in herself.  Finally, when the abusive man has dragged her down so she feels worthless, he can then subjected her to physical abuse.

This then means that a woman who can keep her vibration high through her loving nature cannot be touched.  This is because anyone who comes into contract with her will be strongly influenced by the loving feelings she gives out.

Women can also be dragged down through sacrificial love.  It is natural for women to put the needs of her children before herself, but both children and men can exploit this maternal love to make a women feel guilty about not giving enough to them.

This is why when women gives unconditional love it is important they have the same love for themselves and not the sacrificial love that patriarchy encourages women have.

Because unconditional love is extremely positive, this positive feeling can be used to give a person wealth and power.  To stop this happening, the priests put out the teachings that saintly people have to renounce the world and live in poverty.  So nuns, not only in Christianity but other religions like Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, and Taoism, have to take a vow of poverty.

This is the exact opposite of what we want.  To make our world a better place we need the most loving and caring people in positions of power.  This is in contrast to priests who have become extremely wealthy, with enough wealth and power to match kings and princes.  So according to patriarchal religion it is all right for corrupt and deceitful priests to become fabulously wealthy but not caring and loving women.

The point is that a truly loving person cannot be corrupted by wealth and power.  Loving and caring women who understand the power of love is the biggest threat to the patriarchal society.  This is why patriarchy has belittled women for thousands of years but now it is changing and women are now demanding respect and power.

Women have the choice of learning to be like men and try and be as aggressive and assertive as men.  Or go down the path or positive thinking and through love learn to raise their vibration high enough to be One with the ancient Great Mother and her limitless power.

How women can gain power

According to The Wall Street Journal in 2011, “Women represent 40% of the world's labour force but hold just 1% of the world's wealth.”  These figures have since been disputed but however we juggle the statistics, we are still left with a huge gender wealth gap.

This is not new, throughout history the vast majority of wealth and power has always been in the hands of men.  Patriarchal religions claim it is the “will of god”, while more scientific men will claim it is just nature. Men are naturally more competitive than women and so of course they will end up with more of the wealth and power of our world.

Women are also the child-carers and patriarchy claims that women should be looking after the children and home while the man earns a living.  Though this has changed nowadays with women trying to hold down a part-time job and look after her children at the same time.

So in our competitive patriarchal world, what can women do to change this and gain wealth and power?

Feminists have encouraged women to learn to be more competitive and some women are able to do this.  They have gained wealth and power by behaving like competitive men.  But although we have had famous and successful women throughout history they have always been a small minority.

One of the biggest obstacles for women is giving birth to children.  Successful career women either have to decide not to have children.  Or marry a rich man so she can afford a nanny. Marry a man who is willing to be a house-husband.  Or become superwoman and somehow manage a career and look after her children at the same time.

This all makes it very difficult for women to have successful careers. There has to be a better way.

The way women can gain wealth and power without having to compete directly against men is through positive thinking.  The problem is that we that we are told that this is all airy-fairy, and in the real world we have to work hard to gain money.  This would be wonderful if this was true, but this is not what happens in reality.

Yes, it appeals to our sense of natural justice that the people who work the hardest get the most money.  Yet if we look around the world we tend to see that the people who work the hardest are the least rewarded.  There are billions of people who are working long hours every day and hardly get enough money to live on.  While we have billionaires who have loads of leisure time and never done a hard day’s work in their lives.

So how do people make vast amounts of money?  The most common way it is done is to, “to choose your parents wisely”.  In other words, the people with the most wealth in the world inherited it from their parents.  Most people born in poverty stay poor.  Very few poor people ever end up as billionaires.

So whatever way we look at it, the only way ordinary women can achieve great wealth and power is through positive thinking but how can they make it work?  Many people who buy positive thinking books start doing affirmation ten minutes a day and give up when nothing seems to change for the better.

The big problem with positive thinking is that we all have both positive and negative thoughts all the time.  So if we spend ten minutes a day using positive affirmations, it is only ten minutes compared with about 16 hours a normal person stays awake during the day.

As many positive thinking books tell us, “we create our own reality” and we create our reality through every thought we think throughout the day and not just the ten minutes we have doing affirmations.

So doubt in the whole process is the first hurdle we have to cross.  Positive thinking would be easy if we felt sure it works, we would just repeat positive affirmations all the time and patiently wait for the results.  But if we don’t have any faith in the process, we are looking for signs it is working and think negatively if we cannot see any progress.  So we end up stopping the progression with too much negative thinking.

Another problem with many positive thinking books is they don’t always agree with each other.  Some authors claim that positive thinking is only about motivation, to use affirmations to motivate us to go out and get things done.  Although this can help, it puts women back in the situation of still competing against men for wealth and power. Fortunately there are other books which completely disagree with this idea.

There are positive thinking books with titles like, “Life Was Never Meant to Be a Struggle”, By Stuart Wilde and “The Lazy Man's Way To Riches”, by Joe Karbo.  Books like this have a more laid-back attitude to positive thinking.

As mentioned before hard work and determination are not the ways to gain wealth and power.  Yes, it is natural for us to assume that the people who work the hardest will receive the most money, but this is not what happens in reality.

So if we don’t have rich parents, how can we make lots of money?  Most of the time it seems through luck, being in the right place at the right time.  Yet, many positive thinking authors will claim it is not just luck but positive thoughts that make us lucky.  But it is also more than just luck, positive thinking can make us more likely to exploit any opportunity when they arise.

Using positive thinking to create luck can be a trap, because some people use positive thinking with gambling and that can be disastrous.  Doing this is not recommended and should only be tried by people who have been previously successful in making positive thinking work for them.

The point about, creating our own reality, is that we do this whether we are practicing positive thinking or not.  Our reality is created by the day-to-day by all the habitual thoughts we have.

Religions teach us we must have faith and belief but don’t tell us how to acquire it.  What they don’t explain is that a belief is a thought we keep on thinking. In other words it is habitual thought.

Religions are very good at instilling beliefs into their followers and they do this through indoctrination.  That is to say, they repeat the same idea over and over again until it became a habitual thought in their followers, and that is how beliefs are created.

This of course works best in children.  The Jesuit maxim is "Give me a child for his first seven years and I'll give we the man".  So if we can indoctrinate children at an early age, this indoctrination will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Religions are not the only organizations that do this.  Political parties and advertisers do the same thing.

Joseph Goebbels, the Reich Minister of Propaganda of Nazi Germany, once candidly admitted, "If we tell a lie big enough and keep on repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it”.  Unfortunately, all political parties do the same thing, and the reason they do this, is because it works.

Mother will leave their children in front of a TV to watch children’s programs thinking they are safe.  What they do not realise is that advertisers target children’s programs and brainwash their children into desiring unhealthy junk food or useless and expensive toys.  So the children start off life with unhealthy eating habits and an erroneous belief that expensive material goods will make them happy.

So in our modern world there are religions, political parties and advertisers all trying to brainwash us into beliefs that do not benefit us.  So wouldn't it be better if we take charge of our own lives and brainwash ourselves into having the beliefs, that will make our lives better?

So we can brainwash ourselves into have any belief we want through affirmations.  So what affirmations should we use?

This is a matter of personal choice as people want different things, but mostly people want money, good relationships and good health.  Most positive thinking books focus on making lots of money, because that is what people are most interest in and are more likely to buy a book about this.

Some positive thinking books say that affirmations have to be very positive and the most positive statement we can make about money is to say to ourselves, “I am a millionaire”. (Or billionaire, depending on how ambitious we are.)

The problem with this is that although it is a very positive statement, most people will see it as being untrue and won’t use a statement like this.  So it is better to use affirmations that we feel more comfortable with.

We can say, “I want to be a millionaire,” which is a true statement.  Yes, it is not as positive as say “I am a millionaire”, but it is a statement we can’t argue with.

We can then build on this and say things like, “I desire to be a millionaire”, “wouldn't it be wonderful to be a millionaire,” then visualize and think about what we can buy as a millionaire and what it would do for our lives.  After awhile we can use the affirmation, “I am millionaire,” but only when we feel comfortable with saying it.

It helps to be playful with this and enjoy it as a fun thing to do.  Though this can be difficult if we are heavily in debt and don’t have a job.  Then the true statement would probably be, “I desperately want to be a millionaire”.  But this can be a help if it connects us to our desires.

Thoughts became more powerful if they are connected to a strong emotion and desire.  So if we desperately need money, then we can connect with that powerful desire as we say our affirmations.  Though, this can be difficult for many people, as these desires can not only be desperate, but painful as well.

Desire is a powerful force and needs to be used in a positive way.  Desires that are unfulfilled can easy turn into hopelessness, despair and depression.  For this reason many people actively try not to think too much about what they want.  It is easier to accept the life we have, rather than have unrealistic dreams.

So yes, the sensible thing to do is to never desire more than what we think we can achieve.  But if everyone was to do this then nothing would change.  It is the unrealistic dreamers who bring changes to our world.

Certainly it is the attitude of most women in the world.  Yes billions of women are being oppressed by patriarchal religions and customs but most women feel completely helpless when faced with masculine power.  So it is easier to just complain about it and nothing else.

This then is the big advantage of positive thinking for women.  They don’t have to go out on the street to demonstrate and be beaten up by men.  They don’t have to get involved in the, “dog eat dog” world of patriarchal politics and business.  They can simply use their minds to get what they want.

Positive thinking doesn't even need faith or belief to make it work, all that is needed is persistence.  It can just be statements about the things we most desire said every day as often as possible.  As mentioned before, beliefs are only habitual thoughts, so by just repeating affirmations often, will create new beliefs.

Another hurdle is that if a person is willing make affirmations about their desires, then what also comes to mind, is how they can be achieved.  This is another trap.

There is a saying that the, “Devil in the detail” and thinking about how to achieve what we desire, can bring up a lot of negative thoughts.  So if we use affirmations about becoming a millionaire, but only have a low-paid job, then the whole thing becomes unrealistic when we think about how to achieve this.  This then creates a negative feeling of hopelessness.

But if we look at the lives of people who have gone from, “rags to riches,” we find a lot of luck involved in the way they became rich.  Luck plays a huge role for any poor person in becoming wealthy, and luck can be created through positive thinking.

So positive thinking is a whole new way of thinking about the world.  It doesn’t require force or struggle, all it requires is persistence and patience and the ability to receive what we have created through our thoughts and desires.

Reclaiming Matriarchal Power

The foundation of patriarchal power comes from two concepts.  The first is the idea that the world was created by a male god as we see in patriarchal religions.  The second is that we live in a materialistic world where the most aggressive, competitive, ruthless and deceitful people are the most powerful and successful.  This is promoted by patriarchal science which talks about, “the survival of the fittest.”

The foundation of Matriarchal power is the concept that the world is created by a Feminine deity who is the ONE, the one mind and spirit.  Because She is the ONE She is the supreme power and women can connect to this ultimate power through love and Oneness.  People have called her the Great Mother, Mother Goddess or MotherGod.

In our patriarchal world we are of course taught all about patriarchal power and never about Matriarchal power and while women are unaware of their connection to the Feminine One they remain powerless.  They are taught the only way to gain power is to be as aggressive and competitive as men and most women find this very difficult.

In our patriarchal world some women try to connect to the Feminine One through patriarchal religions and find themselves worshipping a male god and being advised by a male priesthood.  For this reason they find it difficult to see through this patriarchal filter to connect to the Feminine One.

So if a woman can find her true connection to the Feminine One how does it make her powerful?  To understand this we have to challenge two patriarchal beliefs.  The first one is that we live in a materialistic world.  The second is that love is a weakness.

The reason why patriarchy promotes the idea we live in a materialistic world is because in the physical world the masculine is more powerful than the feminine.  Men are physically bigger and stronger than women as well as being more aggressive, competitive and ruthless than women.

Feminine power comes through Oneness and Oneness is found through love.  Back in the 1980s feminists had the slogan, “the sisterhood is powerful.” This never caught on because feminist tried to be like men and became more competitive.  As the result they also became competitive with each other and the sisterhood broke up through internal disputes.

An example of a powerful sisterhood is the bonobo ape.  Female bonobos are able to dominate the larger males through a strong and powerful sisterhood.  But a sisterhood is only possible if women love and care for each other.  This is why the bonobo is called the “make love not war” ape as bonobos defuse aggression through sex.  http://motherhoodinpointoffact.com/bonobo-animal-mother/

In our masculine world, love is seen as a weakness when people are competing against each other for power.  Competitive men talk about the, “killer instinct”, and claim, “nice guys come last” when explaining how to achieve success in our brutal patriarchal world.  Women are then told, they have to try and learn to be like this, if they want to succeed.

But if women learn from the bonobo ape then a powerful sisterhood become possible.  So instead of trying to be like men, they can connect to other women through love and the sisterhood can be powerful in practise.

Love can also be a powerful political force.  It should be obvious that the people would vote for politicians who genuinely loved and care for the people they represent.  Instead, too many female politicians have taken the masculine route and allowed themselves to become corrupt.  As the result they have taken money from wealthy bankers and businessmen and have served their interests and not the people.

Women want to care for all the children of the world, as well as the sick, disabled and all the animals.  But women are very limited in what they can do to help others, if they are second class citizens and so are poor and powerless in our patriarchal world.

So if women do want to care for children, the sick and animals then they have to obtain for themselves the power in which to do this.  Some women have tried to do this through the patriarchal route believing that, “the ends justify the means”.  So they have either married rich men or have learnt to be as competitive and ruthless as male politicians or businessmen and obtained wealth and power this way.  Some women can make this work, but mostly by doing this, their power is still limited.

When a woman marries a wealthy man she can only influence him, he still retains the real power.  If she becomes a politician and accepts bribes to further her career, she finds she has to serve the interests of those who pay her and not interests of the people she represents.  If she becomes a successful businesswoman she finds that if she gives away too much of her wealth to help others, she loses her power and influence.

Rich and powerful women find themselves only giving money to charities which only have a limited power in which to help others and even less if they are run by corrupt administrators.  So women who take the patriarchal path to power always find themselves alone and isolated and limited in how much they can do.

So Matriarchal power can only come about when all women are empowered. But more than this, women can use the power of the mind.  There are many positive thinking books that teach us that a positive frame of mind can give us everything we want and desire.

Many scientists claim we live in a total materialistic world, where there is no god and positive thinking is nonsense, because our thoughts have no influence on the material world.  But science holds a dark secret and that is quantum physics and the double-slit experiment.

The foundation of science is that they are rational and impartial observers of nature and through this, the truth of anything can be obtained by research and testing.  This is not what happened when the double-slit experiment was performed.

It would take a long time to explain what the double-slit experiment is about, but you can find out on the internet if you are interested.  Double slit experiment explained,

The point is that it showed clearly that the thoughts and expectations of the scientists running the experiment can change its whole nature.

This means that positive thinking does have a scientific foundation, our thoughts, expectations and beliefs do influence our physical world.  If we accept this, then this nullifies the physical advantage that men have over women.

Yet again, positive thinking is framed in a masculine mindset.  So we have sportsmen and businessmen promoting and using these ideas to beat their opponents, but it doesn’t have to be like this.  Positive thinking doesn’t have to be competitive.  Women can use it a total loving and caring way and use it to benefit everyone.

Positive thinking also makes sense of our world.  Atheist when arguing against religions put forward the point.  “If we were created by a loving god, why do we live in a world of suffering?”

The answer to this, is that the loving deity that created our world also gave us the gift of freewill and through this freewill we create our own reality.  This is why patriarchal religion create great suffering in our world because they never tell us this.  They keep it to themselves.  So even though there are hints about positive thinking in the Bible and other religious teachings, the priests don’t talk about it.

Recently there has been a best-selling book by Rhonda Byrne called, “The Secret” which is all about positive thinking, but why is positive thinking a secret?  In the competitive patriarchal world, “you never give a sucker and even break.”  So the people who are unaware they create there own reality through the thoughts they think are powerless compared to those who know this.  So the rich and powerful have kept this knowledge a secret to keep the common people and women powerless.

Knowledge that our thoughts create our own reality began to seep out in the 18th century in Austria through the work of Dr Franz Anton Mesmer.  Who was able to perform miracle cures on his patients.  He was very controversial and other doctors stop him continuing his practise but his work was continued in the form of Mesmerism which later became Hypnosis, when they took the healing aspect out of it.

Mesmerism became popular in the USA in the 19th century and from it evolved the New Thought movement.  The most well-known and controversial member of this was Mary Baker Eddy who was the founder of the Christian Science Church.

Then in the 20th century the New Thought movement was changed into positive thinking.  The difference between the two is that New Thought focused more on healing people while positive thinking is more about how to make lots of money.

If we are able to accept the concept that, we create our own reality, through the thoughts we think.  Then this is a big help to women in general, because positive thinking doesn’t depend on physical size, strength or aggression to make it work.

This is why a Matriarchal religion would be a great help to women, because it can worship a feminine deity and teach positive thinking to empower women. It can also give a powerful message of love and Oneness.

Concepts like, “we create our own reality,” can overcome masculine power completely.  The argument against matriarchy is that won’t be able to defend itself against violent and aggressive men.  But if we accept we live in a world of mind, then women can defend themselves again masculine physical force by not accepting it into their reality.

More than this, men will make themselves weaker if they continue to use physical force, because mental and spiritual power is far stronger than material power.

It is far easier for women to tune into the loving power of the Feminine Creator because you find Oneness through love and harmony and in spite of what patriarchal teaches, love is the most powerful and unifying force in the universe.
